Having lived here a while now, I have been completely spoiled with invites to work tables and friends tables each year so haven’t had to go through the hell of finding a table. I would keep an eye out for people selling spare tickets for company tables. You won’t be able to join them, but you will at least get a pass into a tent once they are full. Also keep track of your belongings, people travel to Oktoberfest especially on the look out for those in a “vulnerable state” to pinch their stuff…
