It really is huge and by the sounds of reports it might fall over in the next few years. The next best is the museum and the buildings throughout the town that have history going back to the WWII Battle of Stalingrad. If you are going to Volgograd I would highly recommend you read up about those few months in WWII because it latterly changed the course of the war and the locals definitely haven’t forgotten even though it is over 70years later.

I have yet to make it to Russia, but when I do I now have another spot to put on the list. And I know just what to do when I get there.

This is a park walkway to the river. Kafe Nero near the river doesn’t look much from the outside but is quirky and very well done inside. Great selection of snacks and drinks also.

I wish more people blogged like this instead of getting carried away with purple prose! Any favourite cafes you can recommend?
